Roles & Responsibilities:
Handle end-to-end merchandising activities for home textile products
Coordinate with buyers, production, planning, quality, and dispatch teams.
Follow up on order execution to ensure on-time delivery. Prepare Time and Action (T&A) plans and monitor production status.
Maintain buyer communication and resolve order-related issues.
Prepare costing sheets and analyze product profitability.
Ensure quality standards and buyer specifications are met.
Good knowledge of Terry Towels, Bath Towels, Hand Towels, Face Towels, Bath Mats, Kitchen Towels, and Bathrobes. Understanding of GSM, yarn counts, pile height, weaving process, dyeing, finishing, and packing.
Knowledge of cotton qualities, absorbency, shrinkage, color fastness, and quality parameters.
Costing Knowledge A merchandiser should know how to calculate:
Yarn cost Weaving cost Dyeing and finishing cost Stitching and packing cost Trims and accessories cost Overhead expenses Freight and logistics cost Profit margin and final FOB price
