Role Objective
You will develop firmware for medical devices and help take products from prototype to regulatory-ready stages. This role is not only coding; it includes firmware, hardware interaction, debugging, and system integration.
What the engineer will work on
The products include medical devices such as:
- Monitoring devices (patient monitors)
- Diagnostic devices
- sensor-based medical electronics
- other embedded medical devices as required by the company
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++
- Work with microcontrollers used in medical devices
- Interface sensors, displays, communication modules, alarms, and other peripherals
- Read and process data from ADC, UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, and similar interfaces
- Work closely with the hardware engineer during board bring-up and debugging
- Support system integration across firmware, PCB, sensors, and enclosure-level behavior
- Implement state machines, timing logic, error handling, and low-power behavior
- Help with firmware documentation, version control, and test logs
- Assist in making the product ready for regulatory-ready development
- Participate in testing, issue tracking, and iterative product improvement
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Embedded C
- Good understanding of microcontrollers and basic electronics
- Comfortable reading schematics and working with hardware
- Understanding of interrupts, memory, timers, communication protocols, and debugging
- Basic understanding of firmware testing and validation
- Willingness to work in a startup environment with fast iteration
- Ability to learn tools and platforms used in medical device development
Preferred Skills
- FreeRTOS or other RTOS exposure
- STM32, ESP32, or similar MCU experience
- Debugging using oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer
- Git / version control
- Basic understanding of medical device development process
- Exposure to display modules, alarms, battery-powered systems, or sensor systems
Educational Background
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, ECE, EEE, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, or related branch
Experience Level

- Fresher with strong embedded projects and internship work
- 1–3 years of industry experience
