Company Overview
SwethaReddy Innovations Private Limited is a pioneering medtech startup dedicated to redefining neuro-rehabilitation. Our flagship project, NeuroGrip, is an advanced soft robotic rehabilitation device designed to restore hand function and independence for stroke survivors. We are looking for an ambitious, highly independent researcher to drive our clinical and intellectual property strategy.
About the Role
This is not a traditional support or administrative internship. You will own the end-to-end research, clinical validation strategy, and intellectual property (IP) framework for NeuroGrip. Working directly alongside our Founder & CEO and an elite network of clinicians, you will translate complex scientific concepts into grant-ready documentation, patent applications, and actionable clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Intellectual Property & Patent Research
Prior Art & Freedom-to-Operate: Conduct comprehensive patent searches, literature reviews, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) checks for our design and provisional patents.
Claims Construction: Build detailed claims support matrices and structure your findings to be directly actionable for final patent drafting.
2. Clinical Research & Validation Strategy
Literature Synthesis: Execute deep-dive literature reviews on soft robotics, stroke rehabilitation, and neuroplasticity—sourcing, analyzing, and synthesizing high-impact data.
Protocol Design: Author and establish end-to-end clinical validation protocols and trial designs for the NeuroGrip device.
Grant-Grade Documentation: Build and refine technical documentation to the absolute highest standard, ensuring it is ready for major grant submissions (including BIRAC BIG, SISFS, and similar government/institutional frameworks).
3. Clinical & Patient Stakeholder Engagement
Medical Network Collaboration: Interface directly with neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroscientists, and physiotherapists to gather, evaluate, and integrate expert clinical insights.
User-Centric Feedback: Design and execute structured feedback collection workflows with stroke survivors, translating qualitative patient experiences into high-value engineering and clinical insights.
Who You Are
Educational Background: Currently pursuing or a recent graduate of a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Medicine (MBBS/BPT), or a closely related technical/clinical field.
Autonomous Researcher: Possess exceptional independent research, critical thinking, and technical writing skills. You can take a complex research question and run with it from scratch.
Domain Passion: A genuine, demonstrable interest in medical technology, neuro-rehabilitation, or soft robotics.
The Ideal Bonus: Prior exposure to IP/patent landscapes, clinical trial design, Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes, or deep-tech grant writing is highly desirable.
Mentorship & Growth
You will work in a high-growth startup environment with direct access to executive leadership and top-tier clinical mentors.
Direct Access: Work one-on-one with our Founder & CEO on strategic IP and research goals.
Expert Network: Gain structured mentorship and regular collaborative touchpoints with practicing neurologists, neurosurgeons, and physical therapists within our medical network.
Pay: From ₹5,000.00 per month
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Work from home
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hyderabad, Telangana (Hyderabad, Hyderabad District)
