- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans (IEPs) with measurable goals tailored to the patient’s specific needs.
- Direct Therapy: Conduct one-on-one or group sessions to improve articulation, fluency (e.g., stuttering), voice control, and language comprehension.
- Swallowing Rehabilitation: Teach patients exercises to strengthen the muscles used for safe swallowing and prevent choking.
- Family Training: Educate caregivers and family members on strategies to practice therapy techniques at home.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and track progress over time.
- Collaboration: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, teachers, occupational therapists, and social workers.
