Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical control panels (PLC panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, VFD panels, etc.)
- Analyze RFQs (Request for Quotations), technical specifications, and drawings
- Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs for panel manufacturing and installation
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) based on project requirements
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and sales teams for accurate costing
- Source and evaluate vendor quotations for electrical components
- Optimize costing by identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Maintain costing database and update price lists regularly
- Support tendering and proposal submissions
- Ensure compliance with company standards and client specifications
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2–6 years of experience in costing/estimation for electrical panels or automation projects
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical components (breakers, relays, PLCs, VFDs, switchgear, etc.)
- Experience in control panel costing and BOM preparation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and GA diagrams
- Good understanding of industrial automation systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel (cost sheets, formulas, data analysis)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in automation or panel manufacturing companies
- Familiarity with brands like Siemens, Schneider, ABB, etc.
- Understanding of commercial terms and tendering processes
