VIDEO EDITOR & GRAPHIC DESIGNER – CALICUTJob Summary
Catalyst Education is looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor & Graphic Designer to join our creative and marketing team. The candidate will be responsible for producing engaging educational videos, social media content, advertisements, promotional creatives, and branding materials.
The ideal candidate should have strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to take a concept from idea → design/shoot → edit → final content.
Key ResponsibilitiesVideo Editing
- Edit educational videos, promotional videos, Reels, Shorts, and YouTube content.
- Create engaging videos for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and digital campaigns.
- Add transitions, captions, motion graphics, animations, effects, and background music.
- Perform basic colour correction, colour grading, audio enhancement, and video optimization.
- Create engaging thumbnails and video covers.
- Edit course-related and student-focused educational content.
- Maintain proper file organization and project backups.
- Deliver projects within deadlines.
Graphic Designing
- Design social media posts, posters, banners, brochures, flyers, thumbnails, and advertisements.
- Create creative assets for admissions and marketing campaigns.
- Maintain consistent brand identity across all designs.
- Design creatives for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, websites, and digital advertising.
- Develop new visual concepts based on campaign requirements.
Content & Creative Support
- Work closely with the Marketing, Academic, and Content teams.
- Assist with video shoots, basic camera setup, lighting, and framing when required.
- Follow current social-media trends and create trend-based content.
- Suggest creative ideas to improve engagement and brand visibility.
- Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously.
Required Skills
Video Editing:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- CapCut
- DaVinci Resolve – added advantage
Graphic Design:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Canva
Additional Skills:
- Motion graphics and basic animation

Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communication, Animation, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong portfolio of video editing and graphic design work.
- Experience in EdTech, digital marketing, media, advertising, or creative agencies is an advantage.
- Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
