Job Overview
Standard Group India, a growing organization in the steel and metal trading industry, is looking for a dynamic and innovative MIS Executive to join our team. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience specifically in the steel, metal, or industrial trading sector, along with strong Excel skills and knowledge of AI tools and automation platforms.
The ideal candidate should be tech-savvy, analytical, and capable of integrating modern AI-based tools to improve reporting efficiency, operational tracking, inventory monitoring, and business processes within a fast-paced steel industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to steel sales, inventory, dispatches, procurement, and operations.
- Manage and update large datasets in Excel with high accuracy.
- Assist management with business reports, stock analysis, sales tracking, and operational performance reports.
- Coordinate with sales, accounts, warehouse, dispatch, and operations teams for timely data collection.
- Create dashboards, trackers, and analytical reports for management review.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using AI tools and smart workflows.
- Support data-driven decision-making through structured reporting and analysis.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure confidentiality of business data.
- Generate innovative reporting formats and improve existing MIS systems for operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in MIS or reporting roles within the steel, metal, manufacturing, or industrial trading industry.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel including:
- VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
- Pivot Tables
- IF formulas
- Data Validation
- Basic dashboards and reporting
- Basic understanding of AI tools and automation platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Innovative thinking and willingness to explore new technologies.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial and trading environment.
Preferred AI Tools Knowledge
- ChatGPT / GPT-based tools
- Microsoft Copilot (Excel / Office)
- Google Gemini (Docs / Sheets)
- Power BI (Basic Knowledge)
- Notion AI / Airtable
- Zapier / Make.com (Basic Workflow Automation)
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates with prior exposure to steel trading, metal distribution, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
- Candidates interested in technology-driven reporting and automation.
- Candidates who can suggest innovative ideas for improving reporting systems.
- Quick learners with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
