TIG Welder – Roles & Responsibilities
Position: TIG Welder
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminum, and other metals as required.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components before welding.
- Ensure accurate alignment and assembly of fabricated parts according to drawings.
- Inspect weld quality and ensure welds meet required standards and specifications.
- Operate and maintain TIG welding machines, hand tools, and related equipment safely.
- Perform finishing activities such as grinding, polishing, and cleaning welded joints.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify welding defects and carry out necessary repairs or rework.
- Coordinate with fabrication, production, and quality teams to achieve production targets.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and adhere to 5S practices.
- Record daily production and report material or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures.
- Experience in Stainless Steel fabrication is preferred.
- Good attention to detail and quality control.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in TIG welding and fabrication work.

Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Fabrication Manager.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
