Job Summary:
An Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and creating functional, safe, and aesthetically appealing interior spaces for residential, commercial, or hospitality projects. They work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop design concepts, select materials and furnishings, and oversee project execution to ensure the final design meets expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand project requirements, budget, and preferences.
- Develop creative design concepts, layouts, and space plans.
- Prepare mood boards, 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and design presentations.
- Select furniture, lighting, color schemes, materials, fabrics, and accessories.
- Create detailed drawings using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or 3ds Max.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and material specifications.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure design quality.
- Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and sustainable design practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in residential, commercial, or hospitality interior design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop, or similar design software.
- Strong creativity and visualization skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Good project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of building materials, furniture, lighting, and construction methods.
