Job Purpose:
As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for producing high-quality video content that reflects HK's premium brand identity. You'll collaborate with photographers, graphic designers, content writers, and marketing professionals to create compelling videos that support branding, business communication, digital marketing, and corporate initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Video Editing & Production
- Edit high-quality videos for social media, corporate branding, marketing campaigns, product showcases, events, interviews, testimonials, and promotional content.
- Assemble raw footage into engaging visual stories using professional editing techniques, transitions, colour correction, sound enhancement, and motion graphics.
- Create platform-specific videos optimized for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
Creative Collaboration
- Work closely with photographers, designers, content writers, and the marketing team to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas for campaigns, video concepts, and storytelling.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high creative standards.
Content Management
- Organize and maintain project files, raw footage, audio libraries, and digital assets for efficient workflow and future reference.
- Ensure all video content adheres to HK's brand guidelines and maintains consistency across every platform.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
Innovation
- Stay updated with the latest video editing trends, software, and creative techniques.
- Explore new formats, visual styles, and editing approaches to enhance audience engagement.
- Be open to contributing to additional creative assignments related to media, branding, and marketing that help strengthen your professional skills and provide broader exposure across different business functions.
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience as a Video Editor or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve, or other editing software will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, storytelling, colour grading, audio synchronization, and motion graphics.
- Creativity with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A strong portfolio or show reel showcasing your video editing work.
Education & Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Video Editing, Multimedia, Animation, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Film Production, or a related field.
Preferred
- 1–2 years of professional experience as a Video Editor.
- Experience in Corporate Branding, Manufacturing Industry, Jewellery, Luxury Brands, Diamond Industry, Advertising Agency, or Digital Marketing will be an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve or similar professional editing software will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of video editing principles and visual storytelling.
- Knowledge of colour grading and colour correction.
- Expertise in audio editing and synchronization.
- Experience in motion graphics and visual effects.
- Understanding of different video formats, codecs, and export settings.
- Excellent creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong portfolio or professional showreel demonstrating high-quality video editing work.
