About the Role
We are looking for a Google Shopping Ads Specialist to manage and scale high-performing Shopping campaigns for our e-commerce clients and brands. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Google Shopping, Google Merchant Center, and Google Ads, along with a solid understanding of e-commerce, product feeds, and performance marketing. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth through Shopping, Performance Max, and other Google Ads campaigns while working remotely from India.
Key Responsibilities
1. 1. Campaign Strategy and Setup
· Plan, build, and manage Google Shopping and Performance Max campaigns for multiple accounts.
· Set up and optimize Google Merchant Center accounts, including product feeds, shipping, and tax settings where applicable.
· Structure campaigns and ad groups using best practices, such as by brand, category, and margin.
· Conduct competitor and market research to inform bidding and product strategies.
2. 2. Feed Management and Optimization
· Work with product feeds via Google Merchant Center, third-party feed tools, or XML and CSV feeds.
· Optimize product titles, descriptions, images, GTINs, categories, and custom labels to improve visibility and conversion rates.
· Identify and resolve feed errors, policy violations, and product disapprovals.
3. 3. Performance Optimization
· Monitor and optimize campaigns on a daily and weekly basis to achieve target ROAS, CPA, and revenue goals.
· Adjust bids, budgets, locations, devices, and audience segments based on performance data.
· Create and test smart bidding strategies, such as Maximize Conversion Value and Target ROAS.
· Build and optimize remarketing, RLSA, and audience-based strategies within Google Ads.
4. 4. Tracking, Analytics and Reporting
· Ensure proper conversion tracking using Google Ads Conversion Tracking, Google Analytics (including GA4), and Google Tag Manager.
· Analyze performance data and provide clear weekly and monthly reports with insights and action plans.
· Track key metrics such as impressions, clicks, CPC, CTR, conversion rate, ROAS, revenue, and profit.
5. 5. Cross-Channel and General Google Ads Work
· Support or manage additional Google Ads campaigns such as Search, Dynamic Search Ads, Display, Discovery, and YouTube campaigns.
· Collaborate with marketing, design, and development teams to improve landing pages and overall funnel performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Must Have Experience
· Two to four years of hands-on experience managing Google Shopping campaigns for e-commerce brands or agencies.
· Proven track record of achieving ROAS, revenue, or CPA targets with Shopping and other Google Ads campaigns.
· Strong experience with Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics (preferably GA4), and Google Tag Manager.
· Core Skills in Google Ads and Shopping
· Deep understanding of Google Ads account structure, bidding strategies, and automation.
· Strong skills in feed optimization, including titles, descriptions, categories, and custom labels.
· Ability to troubleshoot Merchant Center issues such as disapprovals, suspensions, and feed errors.
· Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets for analysis and bulk edits.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert data into actionable optimization steps.
· General Professional Skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
· High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
· Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
· Comfortable working with international clients and overlapping required hours with the core company time zone if needed.
Nice to Have Skills
· Experience with feed management tools such as DataFeedWatch or Channable.
· Experience with Bing or Microsoft Shopping Ads and other pay per click platforms.
· Understanding of basic search engine optimization for product and category pages.
· Experience with A and B testing for landing pages and ad creatives.
· Experience working in a digital marketing agency or managing multiple e-commerce stores.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as Google Ads Search Certification, Google Shopping Ads Certification, and Google Analytics Certification will be considered an advantage.
