Job Description
Purpose of the Role
To ensure timely procurement of materials, accurate receipt of goods, and smooth coordination between Vendors, Purchase, Stores, Production, and Project Sites. The role is responsible for following up on every purchase order until the material is received, verified, and issued to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with vendors for quotations, order confirmations, production status, dispatch, and timely delivery.
- Track all purchase orders and ensure no material is delayed without proactive follow-up.
- Supervise the Stores team and ensure timely unloading, checking, storage, and issue of materials.
- Verify the quantity, quality, and specifications of all incoming materials before acceptance.
- Review and approve Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) prepared by the Stores team and ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
- Coordinate with Production to ensure materials are available and issued as per requirements.
- Arrange procurement and coordination of factory and site support items, including maintenance, electrical, plumbing, internet/Wi-Fi, consumables, and other ancillary requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and regular updates on pending materials and deliveries.
- Take complete ownership of assigned tasks until they are successfully closed.
Skills & Requirements:
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Good understanding of purchase and stores operations.
- Attention to detail with the ability to verify material quality and quantity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and email communication.
- Leadership ability to manage the Stores team.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
