Senior Industrial Automation Trainer

Reporting To: Territory Technical Head / Regional Technical Head
Location: Vashi, Mumbai
Job Summary
The Senior Industrial Automation Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality technical training in Industrial Automation technologies, mentoring junior trainers, developing course content, and ensuring excellent student learning outcomes. The role requires strong practical knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, Drives, DCS, BMS, Industrial Instrumentation, and Industrial IoT, along with the ability to conduct hands-on training and support placement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training
- Deliver classroom and hands-on practical training in Industrial Automation technologies.
- Conduct training on PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD/Drives, DCS, BMS, Electrical & Instrumentation, Industrial Networking, and Industrial IoT.
- Ensure students gain practical exposure through real-time industrial projects and lab sessions.
- Maintain high standards of technical training and student engagement.
Curriculum Development
- Develop and update course materials, presentations, lab manuals, assignments, and assessments.
- Incorporate the latest industrial technologies and automation trends into the curriculum.
- Design practical exercises and project-based learning modules.
Student Development
- Mentor students in technical concepts, industrial applications, and career development.
- Guide students in capstone projects, internships, and certification preparation.
- Prepare students for technical interviews, aptitude tests, and placement drives.
Lab Management
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of automation equipment and training labs.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to training equipment.
- Maintain inventory of PLC kits, drives, sensors, control panels, and other laboratory assets.
Trainer Development
- Mentor junior trainers and provide technical guidance.
- Conduct internal technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Assist in evaluating trainer performance and identifying training needs.
Industry Engagement
- Conduct technical seminars, workshops, webinars, and industrial awareness sessions.
- Support industrial visits and client demonstrations.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and training reports.
- Submit weekly and monthly technical reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company training standards and SOPs.

Experience
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in Industrial Automation.
- Experience as a Technical Trainer is highly preferred.
- Hands-on industrial project experience is an added advantage.
- Experience in the EdTech or Skill Development industry is preferred.
