The Design Engineer role at NORVIK PRECITURN LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Jamnagar. The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining designs for precision turned, machined, and forged metal components, ensuring they meet performance, manufacturability, and quality requirements. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating 3D models and technical drawings, collaborating with mechanical and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturing, and supporting engineering changes and product improvements. The role involves reviewing customer specifications, participating in design reviews, and providing technical input to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality processes. The Design Engineer will also support prototyping, assist in root cause analysis for design-related issues, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain project timelines and cost targets.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to precision metal components.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (SOLIDWORKS) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling, and experience preparing detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
- Experience in Product Design, including concept development, design validation, and design-for-manufacturing for industrial or automotive components.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals is beneficial, particularly for components used in electrical or energy applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, turning, and forging, and familiarity with quality standards and tolerance analysis.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, industry standards, and technical documentation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, along with strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Prior experience in industrial machinery, automotive components, or precision engineering environments is an advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
