A Plant Head for a cattle feed manufacturing facility is a senior leadership role responsible for directing all daily operations, including production targets, quality control, maintenance, supply chain, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire production process from raw material intake to final packing of cattle feed, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulations, quality control standards, and safety norms.
- Drive efficiency through lean manufacturing techniques, reduction of wastage, and automation implementation.
- Oversee maintenance of plant machinery (grinding, mixing, pelleting machines) to ensure zero downtime.
- Coordinate raw material inventory, warehouse management, and supply chain logistics to meet sales requirements.
- Manage, train, and guide the plant workforce (supervisors, operators) to achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain cost-effective operations, prepare budget reports, and collaborate with corporate management for business planning.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Any graduate (B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical,Production, or Food Technology,MBA is preferred).
- Experience: 12–20 years of experience in plant operations, with extensive experience in manufacturing, Animal Feed, or agro-based industries.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of animal feed machinery, preventative maintenance, and statutory compliances.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent interpersonal, crisis management, and decision-making abilities.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
