Job Description
The Analyst – Plant & Machinery Valuation will support valuation assignments for industrial assets, including machinery, equipment, and infrastructure, across sectors such as manufacturing, power, infrastructure, oil & gas, and logistics. The role involves technical analysis, cost estimation, depreciation assessment, and report preparation in line with valuation standards (IVS / RICS / local guidelines).
Valuation Execution

Conduct valuations of:

Plant & machinery (manufacturing, process plants, heavy equipment)

Industrial assets and infrastructure

Apply appropriate valuation approaches:

Cost Approach (RCN/RCP – Replacement Cost New/Reproduction Cost)

Depreciated Replacement Cost (DRC)

Market Approach (where comparable data available)
2. Asset Inspection & Data Collection

Perform physical inspections of machinery and plants
-
Assess:

Age, condition, capacity utilization
-
Maintenance history and obsolescence (technical/economic)

Installation and operational status
-
Coordinate with plant engineers/management for technical inputs
3. Technical Analysis

Evaluate:

Useful life and remaining life of machinery

Technological obsolescence and efficiency levels

Understand process flows and production systems

Interpret engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and layout plans
4. Costing & Depreciation

Estimate:

5. Market Research

Prepare comprehensive P&M valuation reports, including:

7. Client Interaction

Qualifications
