Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer with 5+ years of hands-on development experience and strong knowledge of the Insurance domain. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting Salesforce applications that meet business and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Salesforce Flows, integrations, and Salesforce development best practices, along with a good understanding of insurance business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications based on business requirements.
- Develop scalable solutions using Apex, Apex Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, SOQL/SOSL, LWC, and Salesforce Flows.
- Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and middleware platforms.
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs and implement high-quality Salesforce solutions.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Salesforce Architects, Product Owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Develop reusable and scalable Lightning Web Components and Apex services.
- Implement automation using Salesforce Flow and other declarative tools.
- Ensure development follows Salesforce best practices related to bulkification, governor limits, security, sharing, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and integration issues.
- Support data migration and data-quality initiatives where required.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and release activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform.
Insurance Domain Experience
- Strong understanding of Insurance business processes and terminology.
- Experience working with areas such as Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, Customer/Member Management, Billing, Renewals, and Insurance servicing.
- Experience implementing Salesforce solutions for insurance companies, brokers, TPAs, or insurance-related organizations will be preferred.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) or other Salesforce industry solutions is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
- Good understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, security model, profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and governor limits.
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and external system connectivity.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce deployment processes and version control tools such as Git.
- Experience with CI/CD and Salesforce DevOps tools is preferred.
- Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON/XML.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certification.
- Salesforce Financial Services Cloud certification or relevant Salesforce industry certification.
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, FSC, OmniStudio, MuleSoft, or other Salesforce products.
- Experience working on enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
