Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials for social studies classes, aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement, critical thinking, and active participation.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technology tools to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and support for growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success and address academic and behavioral concerns.
- Participate in professional development activities and stay current with best practices in social studies education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education.
- Master's degree in Social Studies.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably at the middle or high school level.
- Strong content knowledge in social studies, including history, geography, civics, and economics.
- Effective classroom management skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Excellent communication skills.
