Job Responsibilities:

Ø Physically able to adapt to the environment including the potential to stand for long periods as well as react in an emergency within a confined area.
Ø Anaesthetic phase :during this phase the theatre nurse will assist the patient prior to surgery and provide holistic care
Ø Work effectively within the team, help anaesthetist and monitor the patient
Ø Surgical phase: Theatre nurses will participate as part of the operating team ,in a number of roles including the scrubbed role, application of aseptic technique, wound management and infection control
Ø During this phase: scrubbing the hands, sterile gowning, gloving and preparation of instruments as per the surgery .To arrange the necessary machinery including microscopes ,lasers and endoscopes
Ø Work along the surgeon, providing instruments, needles, swabs and other materials as required and to able to anticipate their requirements.
Ø Have a role in the promotion of health and safety and be responsible for ensuring that the surgical instruments ,equipment and swabs are all accounted for throughout the surgical procedures
Ø To make sure the safety checklist is completed before closing the surgery
Ø To adhere to the sterility all through the surgery
Ø To ensure that post procedure samples are being sent to the lab and recording
Ø Liaise with the operation theatre In-charge
Ø Preparing environment and equipment needed for the particular operating theatre list.
Ø Post Procedure: To ensure that post procedure all the equipment is cleaned and sent for autoclaving
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
