Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Field Sales Representative to expand our hotel linen business across Assam and Meghalaya. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, increasing market reach, and building strong relationships within the hospitality industry. The candidate will regularly visit hotels, resorts, guest houses, serviced apartments, and other hospitality establishments to identify potential clients, meet hotel owners, purchase managers, and decision-makers, understand their requirements, present product samples, and recommend suitable linen solutions.
The role involves managing the complete field sales process, including lead generation, client meetings, product presentations, follow-ups, negotiations, and converting prospects into long-term business partnerships. The candidate will coordinate closely with the Head Office sales team for scheduled meetings, client requirements, and order processing, while independently conducting market visits and cold approaches to generate new business opportunities. The position requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, willingness to travel extensively, and the ability to work independently to achieve sales targets and expand the company's presence in the hospitality market.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit hotels, resorts, guest houses, serviced apartments, and other hospitality businesses across Assam and Meghalaya to identify sales opportunities.
- Meet hotel owners, purchase managers, housekeeping managers, and procurement teams to showcase hotel linen samples and present product offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while developing new client networks.
- Generate new business opportunities through market visits, references, networking, cold calls, and direct client visits.
- Understand client requirements and recommend suitable hotel linen solutions based on their needs.
- Coordinate with the Head Office sales team regarding appointments, quotations, customer requirements, and follow-ups.
- Manage regular client follow-ups, negotiate requirements, and support the closure of sales opportunities.
- Maintain daily reports of field visits, client meetings, feedback, and sales activities.
- Monitor competitor activities, gather market insights, and share updates with management.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute towards overall business growth.
- Ensure smooth coordination between clients and the operations/support team for timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in field sales.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable traveling extensively across the Assam and Meghalaya.
- Ability to work independently and manage field activities effectively.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, email communication, WhatsApp, and CRM tools.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
