The R&D Manager will lead research, product development, and innovation initiatives at Sahajanand Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. This role is critical in strengthening the company’s product portfolio across SuAyu and Pinkhealth, with a focus on developing effective, safe, and market-relevant formulations in the pharmaceutical and Ayurvedic/nutraceutical segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end product development, including concept creation, formulation, trials, and commercialization
- Develop new Ayurvedic, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical formulations aligned with market demand and regulatory requirements
- Conduct research on ingredients, formulations, and therapeutic areas to support product innovation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (AYUSH, FSSAI, FDCA and other applicable guidelines)
- Submission & Communication: Prepares the dossier for review, approval, or external submission
- Coordinate with regulatory teams for product approvals, documentation, and dossier preparation
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to translate market insights into product development strategies
- Oversee stability studies, quality testing, and validation processes
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and scale-up of products
- Maintain documentation related to formulations, trials, and quality standards
- Monitor industry trends, scientific advancements, and competitor products for innovation opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification:
- M. Pharm / B. Pharm / M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field
- Specialization in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, or Ayurvedic formulation is preferred
- PhD is an added advantage
Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in R&D within pharmaceutical, Ayurvedic, or nutraceutical industry
- Proven experience in formulation development and product lifecycle management
- Experience with regulatory documentation and compliance processes
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of formulation development (tablets, capsules, syrups, powders, etc.)
- Understanding of Ayurvedic ingredients and nutraceutical product development
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (AYUSH, FSSAI, GMP guidelines)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Research orientation with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Cross-functional collaboration with marketing, regulatory, and production teams
- Documentation and reporting expertise
Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
