1. Main Responsibilities
A hair stylist typically performs the following tasks:
- Consult with clients to understand the style or haircut they want.
- Cut and trim hair using scissors, razors, or clippers.
- Style hair using blow dryers, straighteners, curlers, and styling products.
- Color hair (highlights, balayage, global color, root touch-ups).
- Wash and condition hair before cutting or styling.
- Provide hair treatments like keratin, smoothening, hair spa, or scalp care.
- Recommend hair products suitable for the client’s hair type.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work area.
