Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD 2D/3D Industrial Designer to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and manufacturing-ready designs for industrial products, equipment, and systems. The role requires strong proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of industrial design, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD.
- Create manufacturing and fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed part drawings.
- Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and design requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Modify and update existing drawings based on project requirements and client feedback.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and design documentation.
- Support prototype development and product improvement initiatives.
- Maintain organized drawing records and revision control.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D modeling.
- Experience with industrial equipment, mechanical components, piping systems, valves, fabrication, or manufacturing design is preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and drafting standards.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering documents.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or Fusion 360.
- Knowledge of industrial products, process equipment, valves, instrumentation, or piping systems.
- Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
