At Stockwiz, you will be part of the core team building StrykeX, our algorithmic trading platform.
This is not a research-only ML role.
You will work on real production systems where models, data pipelines, and infrastructure directly impact live trading decisions, latency, and execution quality.
What You’ll Work On
- Build and deploy ML models for trading signals, prediction, and risk systems
- Design real-time data pipelines for market data ingestion and processing
- Develop low-latency APIs and backend services in Python
- Implement caching and fast data access layers using Redis / DragonflyDB
- Work with time-series and high-frequency data systems (QuestDB, PostgreSQL)
- Handle large-scale structured and unstructured data (MongoDB)
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines (LLMs + financial data) where relevant
- Improve system performance across latency, throughput, and scalability
- Collaborate with product, quant, and engineering teams to ship production features
Core Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python (async programming is a big plus)
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience building production-grade backend systems (APIs, services)
- Working knowledge of:
- PostgreSQL (relational data)
- MongoDB (NoSQL / flexible data)
- QuestDB (time-series / market data)
- Experience with caching systems like Redis or DragonflyDB
- Understanding of data pipelines, real-time systems, and performance optimization
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
Good to Have
- Experience in algorithmic trading / financial markets
- Exposure to LLMs, LangChain, or RAG systems
- Knowledge of WebSockets / real-time streaming systems
- Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems
- Familiarity with Docker / cloud environments (AWS)
