Network Support Engineer – Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Network Support Engineer to manage and support our IT infrastructure, network systems, servers, and end-user support. The candidate should have good troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in networking, Windows systems, and basic server management.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and firewalls
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet-related issues
- Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime
- Provide desktop and remote support to users
- Configure and manage Windows systems and basic server operations
- Handle IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and shared folder permissions
- Maintain antivirus, backups, and system security
- Support printers, NAS storage, CCTV connectivity, and office IT infrastructure
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for network or hardware issues
- Maintain daily IT support logs and reports
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN)
- Experience with routers, switches, and firewall configuration
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
- Troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues
- Knowledge of remote support tools
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity and antivirus management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.Tech / BCA / MCA in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in Network Support or IT Support
- CCNA or equivalent certification preferred
