We are hiring for a Lead Social Media and Content Production person for a fast growing D2c Babycare brand and Mothercare brand. Through the four pillars of Brand — Products, Awareness, Education, and Community — they partner with a new generation of parents who are breaking cycles and raising better children by becoming better parents themselves.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute platform-specific strategies for Instagram (primary), YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Build and own the monthly content calendar across all five Growgether content pillars: Myth vs Reality, Raising Better, Product Truth, Parent Seen, Premium Discovery.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm shifts, and format changes — and adapt our strategy accordingly.
- Contribute to quarterly media planning and cross-channel optimization.
2. Content Production & Shoot Planning (Core Mandate)
- Plan and coordinate all content shoots — product photography, founder-led Reels, RBF (Raising Better Features) videos, lifestyle content, influencer collaborations, event coverage.
- Write detailed shoot briefs — shot lists, RBF scripts, founder talking points, styling notes, props, lighting.
- Coordinate with Creative Lead and external vendors to execute shoots on time and on brief.
- Manage pre-production and on-ground execution — location scouting, vendor coordination, shot list completion, quality checks.
- Build a shoot calendar that stays 2–3 weeks ahead of the content calendar so the pipeline never runs dry.
- Ensure every shoot produces primary assets for the calendar plus secondary content for ads, marketplace, and brand archives.
3. Founder-Led Content & Brand Storytelling
- Work directly with the founder to create founder-face content — Reels, carousels, long-form posts, Raising Better opinion pieces.
- Translate the founder's voice into content that feels authentic, not scripted.
- Write on-brand social copy for all formats — captions, carousel text, Reel hooks, CTAs, comment responses.
- Develop RBF (Raising Better Features) video scripts benchmarked against Nuna, Stokke, BabyBjörn, and Cybex.
- Manage approvals, revisions, and publishing schedules.
4. Community Engagement & Management
- Build and nurture a thoughtful, loyal community on Instagram and YouTube.
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, mentions, and reviews — Growgether's 4-hour response SLA is non-negotiable.
- Surface community insights, pain points, and FAQs to inform content strategy and product messaging.
- Identify and engage with micro-communities and cultural moments where brand should show up.
5. Analytics, Reporting & Performance Optimization
- Track and analyze social KPIs — reach, engagement, saves, shares, profile visits, website clicks, conversions.
- Generate monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations for next month's plan.
- Use performance data to iterate formats, test new hooks, retire underperformers, and double down on what works.
- Benchmark against competitors and international premium parenting brands.
6. Paid Social Campaigns (Coordination Role)
- Plan and coordinate paid social campaigns with the Growth & Strategy team and external agencies.
- Provide creative direction and assets for Meta Ads, YouTube Ads, and other paid formats.
- Track ad performance and feed creative learnings back into organic content.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Growth & Strategy, Influencer Marketing, Ecommerce, and Founder's Office.
- Coordinate with external agencies, freelance creators, photographers, and videographers.
- Brief designers for static posts, carousels, and brand assets when needed.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, equal parenting positioning, and premium visual identity.
8. Brand Consistency & Innovation
- Ensure tone, visual identity, and messaging stay consistent across all touchpoints.
- Experiment with new formats, platform features, and storytelling techniques.
- Spot cultural moments and whitespace opportunities where brand can lead the conversation.
This Role Is NOT for You If
- You are a strict 9-to-6 person. Shoots run late. Reels go live on weekends. Product launches happen when they happen. This is not a clock-in, clock-out role — and if that sentence made you uncomfortable, please do not apply.
- You think beyond working hours is a burden, not a mindset.
- You wait for someone to tell you what to post tomorrow.
- You confuse being busy with being effective.
- You believe 'posting consistently' is the same as 'posting strategically'.
- You are uncomfortable on-ground at shoots, directing photographers, or managing last-minute creative pivots.
- You need motivation, reminders, and follow-ups to close small tasks.
- You think social media is just about likes and followers, not community and conversion.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and production coordination — preferably in D2C, beauty, parenting, or premium lifestyle brands.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
- Proven track record of managing content calendars, planning shoots, and growing social channels. We will ask for portfolio examples and performance metrics.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Experience briefing and coordinating with photographers, videographers, designers, and creative agencies.
- Strong visual sensibility and eye for detail — you can spot bad lighting, off-brand framing, and weak compositions before they go live.
- A hands-on, on-ground attitude. Content is not planned from a desk alone.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple shoots and content pipelines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, Later, Notion, Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Premiere (basic editing).
- Based in or willing to relocate to Gurugram. Comfortable being on-ground for shoots across NCR.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with a parenting, baby care, maternity, or premium D2C brand (e.g., Mamaearth, Sugar Cosmetics, FirstCry, Nykaa, The Moms Co).
- Hands-on experience shooting and editing short-form vertical video (Reels, YouTube Shorts) yourself.
- A strong portfolio of founder-led content or brand storytelling campaigns.
- Experience running or coordinating paid social campaigns on Meta and YouTube.
- A personal interest in parenting, child development, or equal parenting movements.
- Existing network of freelance photographers, videographers, or content creators in NCR.
Who We Are Looking For
We are hiring for a mindset before a skillset.
You are the kind of person who:
- Thinks like a strategist but shoots like a producer — you can write a content deck in the morning and brief a camera crew in the afternoon.
- Does not need to be pushed, reminded, or chased — you own the calendar, the pipeline, and the output.
- Has strong opinions on what works on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube — and brings data to back them up.
- Gets excited by an empty content calendar because you know exactly what to fill it with.
- Moves fast. The feed does not wait, and neither do you.
- Doesn't think in working hours. You think in deadlines. If a founder Reel needs to go live Sunday morning, you plan for it. If a shoot runs late Thursday evening, you stay until the shot list is done.
- Brings ideas constantly — new formats, new hooks, new ways to make brand show up differently.
If you need someone to assign you tasks every morning, this role is not for you. Read that line again before you apply.
