Sales Executive – Building Material Showroom
Job Summary
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales of building materials by developing strong relationships with architects, interior designers, civil engineers, builders, contractors, developers, and institutional clients. The role involves generating new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, achieving sales targets, and promoting the showroom's complete range of construction and finishing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, developers, contractors, civil engineers, and project consultants.
- Generate new business opportunities through regular market visits, networking, and client meetings.
- Promote the company's range of building materials including tiles, sanitaryware, bath fittings, electrical products, plumbing materials, hardware, paints, plywood, laminates, doors, modular kitchen solutions, and other construction products.
- Conduct regular visits to construction sites, architectural firms, engineering consultants, and builder offices to identify upcoming projects.
- Ensure product specifications are approved by architects and consultants for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales while maintaining profitability.
- Coordinate with the showroom team to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials.
- Maintain a database of architects, engineers, builders, contractors, and key decision-makers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify new market segments and business opportunities.
- Monitor competitors' products, pricing, and market activities.
- Resolve customer complaints and provide excellent after-sales support.
- Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, product demonstrations, and promotional events.
- Prepare daily visit reports, sales reports, project updates, and sales forecasts.
- Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term client retention.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA in Marketing or Sales will be preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in building material sales, construction products, hardware, sanitaryware, electrical products, paints, tiles, plywood, or related industries.
- Proven experience in handling project sales and institutional sales.
- Established relationships with architects, engineers, builders, developers, and contractors will be highly preferred.
