Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, managing distributor and retailer relationships, and achieving revenue targets within the assigned territory. The role involves developing sales strategies, leading field sales activities, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Increase market share within the assigned territory.
- Execute sales plans aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Distributor & Dealer Management
- Appoint and develop new distributors where required.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing distributors.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels across the distribution network.
- Monitor distributor performance and profitability.
Market Development
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Expand retail coverage and distribution.
- Increase product visibility in the market.
- Conduct competitor analysis and recommend strategies.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor Sales Executives/Sales Officers.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular field visits with sales representatives.
- Motivate the team to achieve targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Analyze sales trends and market data.
- Forecast sales accurately.
- Maintain CRM and sales records.
Collections & Credit Control
- Ensure timely collections from distributors.
- Monitor outstanding payments.
- Maintain healthy receivable cycles.
- Coordinate with finance regarding payment issues.
Experience in FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Goods, Nutraceuticals, Healthcare, Cosmetics, or similar industries preferred.
Pay: From ₹45,000.00 per month
