Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Technical Architect / Lead Developer to lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. The individual will be responsible for defining technical architecture, guiding development teams, ensuring adherence to platform best practices, and delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with business objectives. The role requires deep expertise across the ServiceNow platform, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to mentor developers while driving technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
Design end-to-end ServiceNow technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Define platform architecture, application design patterns, and development standards.
Conduct solution design workshops and technical discovery sessions with stakeholders.
Create and maintain High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
Evaluate customization requirements and recommend OOTB capabilities wherever possible.
Ensure platform scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Development Leadership
Lead development activities across ServiceNow implementations and enhancements.
Provide technical direction and oversight to developers and administrators.
Review code and enforce development best practices.
Develop complex business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, flows, and integrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Conduct technical estimations and support project planning activities.
Platform Development
Develop and configure ServiceNow applications using App Engine Studio and Studio.
Configure workflows using:
o Flow Designer
o IntegrationHub
o Workflow Editor (where applicable)
Develop custom applications and scoped applications.
Implement platform upgrades and patching activities.
Integration & Automation
Design and develop integrations using:
o REST APIs
o SOAP Web Services
o IntegrationHub
o MID Server
o JDBC integrations
o LDAP/AD integrations
o SSO (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
Lead integration architecture discussions with external systems.
Ensure secure data exchange and integration governance.

Participate in CAB, architecture review boards, and governance forums.
Lead technical risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Present technical solutions and recommendations to leadership teams.
Support client workshops and executive-level discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
Mandatory Experience
15+ years of IT experience.
10+ years of ServiceNow platform experience.
Experience leading ServiceNow implementation programs.
Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
Strong JavaScript development experience.
Experience with ServiceNow platform architecture and governance.
