About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Carpenter Trainer to deliver high-quality vocational training in Carpentry under Skill Development. The trainer will be responsible for imparting both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring trainees meet industry standards and become employment-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on training in modern carpentry, modular furniture, and interior fit-out solutions using industry-standard practices.
- Train participants on advanced woodworking technologies, including CNC machines, CAD/CAM, power tools, and digital fabrication techniques.
- Develop trainees' entrepreneurial skills in furniture manufacturing, business planning, digital marketing, costing, and customer management.
- Conduct practical assessments, monitor trainee progress, and maintain training quality and project documentation.
- Facilitate industry exposure, RPL assessments, placements, and self-employment opportunities through industry and market linkages.
- Prepare periodic training reports and submit them to the Project Manager.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Carpentry / Wood Technology / Civil Engineering / Furniture & Interior Technology or any other relevant technical qualification from a recognized institution.
- Relevant certification under NSDC/NCVT/ITI/Skill Development programs will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in carpentry and/or carpenter training.
- Experience in conducting Skill Development, PMKVY, RPL, CSR, or Government-funded training programs is preferred.
- Industry experience in furniture manufacturing, interior works, modular furniture, construction, or woodworking is desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong practical knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Excellent training and demonstration skills.
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and/or the local language.
- Ability to engage and motivate trainees from diverse backgrounds.
- Good documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, online reporting).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and professional attitude.
Preferred
- Certified Trainer under NSDC/SSC or equivalent.
- Experience in Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programs.
- Experience in assessment preparation and industry linkage.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, quality standards, and sustainable carpentry practices.
Remuneration
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and project requirements.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
