Remote Construction Estimator / Canadian Painting Projects About Reliable Painters
Reliable Painters is an established Canadian commercial painting contractor based in Ontario. We work on high-rise and mid-rise residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects. We are expanding our remote estimating capacity and are looking for an experienced India-based estimator to join our long-term team.
The Position
This is a fully remote, India-based opportunity supporting Canadian construction projects. The successful candidate will prepare quantity takeoffs and draft estimates. When estimating workloads are lighter, the candidate will also assist with bid coordination and business-development administration.
Main Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, addenda, and drawing revisions.
- Complete accurate quantity takeoffs for painting, coatings, wallcovering, and related finishes.
- Prepare draft estimates and organized bid worksheets for review by the Canadian team.
- Use Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or comparable estimating software.
- Maintain estimating databases, tender calendars, client lists, and company references.
- Register Reliable Painters on construction-manager, general-contractor, developer, and builder websites.
- Complete contractor prequalification forms using company-approved information.
- Email construction managers and general contractors to request addition to bidder lists.
- Monitor tender websites and identify suitable Canadian painting opportunities.
- Prepare capability statements, company profiles, and draft business-development emails.
- Use approved AI tools to improve speed and accuracy while protecting confidential information.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of construction estimating or quantity-surveying experience.
- Strong ability to read architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PDF-document skills.
- Clear written and spoken English.
- Excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable computer for large drawing files.
- Availability for at least two hours of overlap with Toronto business hours.
Preferred Experience
- Canadian or U.S. construction estimating experience.
- Commercial painting, coatings, wallcovering, or architectural-finishes experience.
- Experience with contractor prequalification and construction tender websites.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
