We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Manager with at least 7 years of specialized expertise in interior design, fit-out, and turnkey project planning. In this role, you will lead end-to-end planning, resource allocation, baseline scheduling, cost estimation, and vendor management for residential, commercial, or institutional interior projects. You will act as the key liaison between design teams, site engineers, procurement, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Master Scheduling & Tracking: Develop, monitor, and update baseline schedules (WBS, Primavera P6, or MS Project) for all interior fit-out projects from concept design to handover.
- Resource & Budget Planning: Oversee project budgeting, material planning, labor requirements, and cash-flow projections to ensure maximum profitability and minimum waste.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Work closely with procurement teams to evaluate sub-contractors, suppliers, and interior vendors. Review tenders, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and contracts.
- Coordination & Alignment: Coordinate cross-functionally across Interior Designers, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams, Site Engineers, and Client Managers to resolve design conflicts and site delays.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct site audits, track Milestones vs. Actual Progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and present periodic progress reports and recovery plans to senior management.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all interior execution adheres to local building codes, fire/safety regulations, design specifications, and quality benchmarks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling specifically within interior design, corporate fit-outs, high-end residential, or commercial construction.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Construction Management (PMP or PMI-SP certification is a strong plus).
- Software Proficiency:
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project or Primavera P6
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM (for drawing coordination)
- Advanced MS Excel skills for financial tracking and resource estimation
- Core Technical Skills: Strong understanding of BOQ estimation, interior joinery, MEP integration, material finishes, and procurement lifecycles.
