We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Forging Quality Supervisor to oversee quality control activities in the forging production process. The candidate will ensure product quality standards are maintained at all stages of production, inspection systems are followed, customer quality requirements are met, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Quality Monitoring
- Monitor quality parameters during hot forging and finished product stages.
- Conduct regular inspection of raw material, in-process material, and finished forged components.
- Ensure production follows approved quality standards and control plans.
2. Inspection Activities
- Perform dimensional inspection using measuring instruments:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Thread Gauge
- Surface Plate
- Verify product dimensions as per engineering drawings.
3. Process Quality Control
- Monitor forging parameters:
- Temperature control
- Die condition
- Press/Hammer operations
- Material flow and defects
- Identify defects such as:
- Crack
- Underfill
- Overfill
- Scale marks
- Die mismatch
- Surface defects
4. Documentation & Records
- Maintain quality inspection reports.
- Record rejection and rework data.
- Maintain calibration status of measuring instruments.
- Update quality check sheets and inspection records.
5. Team Supervision
- Supervise quality inspectors and shop-floor quality staff.
- Train operators on quality standards and defect prevention.
- Coordinate with production supervisors for corrective action.
6. Customer & Internal Quality Compliance
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Participate in customer audits and internal audits.
- Support implementation of:
- 5S
- Kaizen
- ISO systems
- Safety procedures
7. Problem Solving & Improvement
- Investigate quality issues and root cause analysis.
- Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
- Work on rejection reduction and process improvement.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
