Job Summary:
We are looking for a caring and responsible Veterinary Assistant to help the veterinarian during pet care visits at clients' homes. The role involves assisting with pet handling, preparing equipment, supporting treatments, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the veterinarian during home visits.
- Help handle and comfort pets during checkups and treatments.
- Prepare and carry medical supplies and equipment needed for visits.
- Keep basic records of pet treatments and appointments.
- Clean and organize equipment after each visit.
- Help pet owners understand care instructions and medications.
- Observe pets and report any health concerns to the veterinarian.
- Ensure pets are treated with kindness and care at all times.
- Travel to different homes as scheduled.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with animals is preferred but not required.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable handling dogs, cats, and other pets.
- Ability to travel for home visits.
- Reliable, organized, and compassionate.
