Job Summary: The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, processing, and packaging for dry fruits and pulses. This leadership role ensures production lines run safely, maximise yield, minimise wastage, and maintain strict quality standards.
- Production Operations: Lead processing lines for cleaning, sorting, grading, and packaging dry fruits and pulses to meet targets.
- Wastage & Yield Control: Optimize raw material utilization to achieve cost-efficient output and eliminate process shrinkage.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Enforce strict hygiene, moisture control, and sorting parameters matching standard food safety regulations.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with the procurement team to balance raw material inflows against daily processing capacities.
- Shift & Labour Management: Supervise on-floor labour, organise daily shift rosters, and guide team activities to maintain productivity.
- Machinery Maintenance: Supervise routine maintenance of packaging units, Sortex machinery, and material handling systems to prevent downtime.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain logs and plant practices that align with basic food processing safety protocols. [1, 2, 3]
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in manufacturing operations, specifically within the food, dry fruits, milling, or agro-commodities sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of bulk material handling, packaging machinery, and sorting technologies (e.g., Sortex machines).
- Leadership: Strong on-floor presence with experience handling local factory workers and shift schedules.
- Education: HSC and Graduate.
