About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven RFP Writer & Sales Specialist with experience in the US and UK markets to identify, pursue, and win software development opportunities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in proposal writing, pre-sales, business development, and client engagement within the IT services industry.
This role requires someone who can effectively manage the entire opportunity lifecycle—from identifying relevant RFPs and preparing winning proposals to engaging with clients and contributing to deal closures.
Key ResponsibilitiesRFP & Proposal Management
- Identify and evaluate relevant RFP, RFQ, RFI, and tender opportunities in the US and UK markets.
- Prepare high-quality, persuasive, and compliant proposals for software development and technology projects.
- Collaborate with technical teams to gather solution details, project estimates, and supporting documentation.
- Create executive summaries, case studies, capability statements, and proposal responses.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals while maintaining compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain and enhance proposal repositories, templates, and reusable content libraries.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and target prospective clients seeking software development services.
- Generate leads through LinkedIn, online databases, networking, and market research.
- Conduct discovery calls, client presentations, demos, and solution discussions.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Work closely with leadership and delivery teams to convert opportunities into projects.
- Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
Client Engagement & Market Research
- Serve as a primary point of contact during the proposal and sales process.
- Respond to client queries and coordinate clarification discussions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Develop strategies to increase penetration in the US and UK software services market.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in RFP writing, proposal management, pre-sales, business development, or software sales.
- Experience preparing proposals for IT Services, Software Development, SaaS, Cloud, AI, Blockchain, or Digital Transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of RFP/RFQ/RFI processes and proposal compliance requirements.
- Experience working with US and/or UK clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and proposal management processes.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, B.E., B.Tech, or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with AI, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, SaaS, or emerging technologies.
- Experience with lead generation and outbound prospecting.
- Proven track record of contributing to successful proposal wins and revenue growth.
