The Advanced Marine Terminal Engineer is responsible for helping our business affiliates ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of marine terminal infrastructure and systems. This role encompasses the engineering and lifecycle management of marine structures, mooring and fendering systems, cargo transfer equipment, and emergency response facilities. The engineer plays a critical role in assisting the business unit in maintaining the integrity and performance of terminal assets, supporting both day-to-day operations and capital project development. This also includes integrating emergency shutdown systems and fire protection infrastructure into terminal designs to ensure rapid response capability and regulatory compliance
In addition to technical responsibilities, the engineer supports development of marine terminal operator training, ensuring personnel are equipped to manage mooring, cargo transfer, and emergency scenarios safely and effectively. The role also involves utilizing demurrage and freight economics to identify opportunities for reducing vessel turnaround times and improving supply chain margins. The engineer actively contributes to risk management and SHE performance by embedding safety and environmental considerations into engineering decisions. As a representative of the organization in industry forums and regulatory engagements, the Advanced Marine Terminal Engineer advocates for best practices and helps shape industry standards, driving both operational excellence and long-term business value
