About the Role
SkillCure Academy is looking for a passionate and result-oriented Academic Counselor who can guide aspiring students in choosing the right career path in Data Analytics, Data Science, AI, and related technologies. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a consultative approach to counseling, and the ability to convert inquiries into successful enrollments.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counseling
- Understand each student's educational background, career goals, and learning requirements.
- Recommend the most suitable course based on the student's career aspirations.
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions through phone calls, WhatsApp, video calls, and walk-ins.
- Address student queries regarding curriculum, career opportunities, fees, certifications, and placement support.
Lead Management
- Follow up with fresh and existing leads generated through digital marketing, social media, referrals, and walk-ins.
- Maintain accurate student records and update the CRM regularly.
- Track the complete admission journey from inquiry to enrollment.
Admissions & Enrollment
- Convert qualified leads into enrollments through consultative counseling.
- Explain fee structures, payment plans, scholarships, and available offers.
- Coordinate with the admissions and operations teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Student Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with prospective students.
- Provide timely follow-ups until the admission decision is made.
- Ensure an excellent counseling experience and maintain high student satisfaction.
Business Development Support
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, webinars, and career guidance events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to improve lead conversion strategies.
- Collect student feedback and market insights to enhance counseling effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong counseling and consultative selling abilities.
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand career goals and recommend suitable learning paths.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of CRM software, MS Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Target-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 1–4 years of experience in Academic Counseling, Education Sales, EdTech, Training Institutes, or Career Counseling.
- Freshers with exceptional communication skills and a strong learning attitude may also apply.
