Position
Piping Engineer – Plumbing, Water & Gas Piping
Experience
- Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Industrial, Commercial, Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, Manufacturing Plants, Warehouses, and Infrastructure Projects preferred.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Additional certifications in piping, plumbing, or industrial utility systems will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, execution, and supervision of plumbing and piping works.
- Installation of water supply, drainage, sewer, storm water, compressed air, and industrial utility piping.
- Installation and testing of LPG, PNG, CNG, and industrial gas piping systems.
- Preparation and review of piping layouts, isometric drawings, BOQs, and material planning.
- Coordination with civil, electrical, HVAC, fire fighting, and utility teams.
- Site measurement, quantity verification, billing support, and project documentation.
- Conduct hydrostatic, pneumatic, and pressure testing.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
- Daily progress reporting and manpower planning.
- Coordination with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of MS, GI, HDPE, UPVC, CPVC, PPR, SS, and copper piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Familiarity with relevant IS codes and industrial piping standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
