Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with hands-on experience in LED manufacturing and production operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining product quality, supervising workers, and ensuring that all manufacturing processes and safety protocols are properly followed.
The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of LED light manufacturing processes, assembly, testing, quality control, production planning, manpower management, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day LED manufacturing operations.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Understand and control the complete LED manufacturing/assembly process.
- Supervise production workers and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor assembly, soldering, wiring, PCB/driver installation, housing assembly and other relevant production activities.
- Ensure proper testing and quality-check procedures are followed before finished products are dispatched.
- Identify production defects and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain production efficiency and minimize material wastage and rejection.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials, components and finished products.
- Maintain production records, daily production reports and other relevant MIS.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality Control and Management teams.
- Ensure machines, tools and production equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace safety protocols.
- Ensure workers follow PPE, electrical safety, fire safety and other applicable safety requirements.
- Monitor production downtime and take appropriate corrective measures.
- Train and guide production workers whenever required.
- Maintain discipline and productivity within the production area.
- Support management in improving production capacity, quality and cost efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in LED Light Manufacturing / LED Assembly / Electrical & Electronics Manufacturing is preferred.
- Good understanding of LED production and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of LED components such as PCB, LED chips, drivers, capacitors, resistors, MCPCB and LED housings will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of production testing and quality-control procedures.
- Experience in manpower handling and production supervision.
- Ability to identify production defects and resolve operational issues.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and manufacturing protocols.
- Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under production targets and deadlines.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / ITI / Graduate / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing or a related field will be preferred.
Relevant practical experience in LED manufacturing may also be considered.
Preferred Experience
2–5 years or more of relevant experience in LED manufacturing/production.
Candidates with strong hands-on experience in LED manufacturing and production supervision will be given preference.
