Job Summary
Crescent Pediatric and Neonatology Centre is seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patients. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based care to newborns, infants, and children while supporting families and collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care (Paediatric & Neonatal)
- Provide direct nursing care to neonates, infants, and children.
- Monitor vital signs and recognize early signs of complications.
- Assist in neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care.
- Ensure proper feeding, medication administration, and hygiene care for newborns.
Medication & Treatment
- Administer prescribed medications and IV fluids accurately.
- Monitor for adverse drug reactions.
- Assist with specialized procedures in neonatal and pediatric care.
Family Education & Support
- Educate parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and infection prevention.
- Provide emotional support to families.
- Guide caregivers on discharge instructions and home care plans.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing notes.
- Update treatment charts and medication administration records.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Infection Control & Safety
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies, especially in neonatal care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in the unit.
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Required Qualifications
- ANM/GNM/B.sc Nursing
- Experience in pediatric or neonatal nursing (preferred).
