Role Overview
We're looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with a strong performance and paid media background to plan, execute, and optimize campaigns across search, paid social, and display. You'll own budget allocation, bidding strategy, and conversion tracking, working closely with Sales, Creative, and Analytics to turn ad spend into measurable pipeline and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, launch, and manage paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic display/native platforms.
- Own campaign budgets end-to-end: allocate spend across channels, manage bidding strategies, and forecast pacing against targets.
- Build and maintain conversion tracking, pixels, and attribution models (GA4, Google Tag Manager, CRM integrations) to measure true campaign ROI.
- Run structured A/B and multivariate tests on ad creative, audiences, landing pages, and bidding strategies to continuously improve CPA and ROAS.
- Analyze performance data weekly and monthly; turn findings into clear optimization recommendations and reporting for leadership.
- Manage keyword research, audience segmentation, and retargeting strategies to improve lead quality and reduce acquisition costs.
- Collaborate with the Creative team to brief and iterate on ad copy, images, and video assets based on performance data.
- Partner with Sales on lead handoff, scoring, and funnel conversion to ensure marketing-qualified leads translate into customers.
- Stay current on platform updates, auction dynamics, and industry trends in energy and utilities marketing.
- Manage relationships with external agencies or freelance vendors supporting paid campaigns, as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search, paid social, and/or programmatic campaigns, ideally with meaningful monthly ad budgets.
- Proven track record improving key performance metrics such as CPA, ROAS, CTR, and conversion rate.
- Proficiency with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, and Google Tag Manager; experience with a major CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with comfort working in spreadsheets and dashboards to interpret performance data and report on results.
- Experience with landing page optimization and basic A/B testing tools.
- Excellent written communication skills for ad copy, reporting, and cross-team collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in energy, utilities, home services, or another regulated/considered-purchase industry is a plus.
- Experience in the Australian solar industry is highly regarded.
