Job Summary
The Production Assistant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. The role involves supervising shop floor operations, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring smooth production of lubrication systems and related components.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily production activities and ensure production schedules are met.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are carried out as per approved work instructions and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Design departments for material availability and production requirements.
- Monitor machine utilization and ensure proper maintenance coordination.
- Conduct in-process inspections and ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Maintain production records, daily reports, and work orders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and 5S practices.
- Identify production issues and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and guide production operators and helpers on standard operating procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
- Monitor inventory of production consumables and report shortages.
- Ensure timely completion and dispatch readiness of finished products.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in lubrication systems, hydraulic systems, industrial equipment, or engineering products.
- Experience in production planning and shop floor supervision is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of production processes and manufacturing practices.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and assembly drawings.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic and lubrication system components.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP software is an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
