Brand Development Manager will serve as the dedicated brand representative and on-ground sales person for the specific lighting brand they are hired for. The candidate will exclusively promote, position, and drive sales of that particular brand's product portfolio across the Eastern Uttar Pradesh territory — acting as the face of the brand in every client, architect, and dealer interaction.
You will own the full sales funnel — from identifying early-stage projects to securing specifications from key influencers (architects, IDs, lighting consultants) to closing purchase orders through channel partners and dealers.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Development & Sales
Ø Identify and pursue new project opportunities in luxury residential, hospitality, retail, commercial, and institutional segments
Ø Convert project specifications into confirmed orders by coordinating with dealers, distributors, and end clients
Ø Maintain an updated and healthy project pipeline
Ø Build and nurture long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, lighting consultants, PMCs, and builders/developers across East UP
Ø Conduct regular studio visits, product presentations, and lighting briefings to drive brand specifications into upcoming projects
Ø Identify and onboard brand-aligned channel partners where coverage gaps exist
Ø Support dealer/partner business through co-visits, joint presentations, and sell-through activities
Ø Representing the brand at local industry events, architect/design meets, trade fairs, and product launches
Ø Facilitate brand tie-ups with leading design studios, luxury real estate developers, and premium hospitality groups in the region
Ø Coordinate with the marketing team to execute local BTL activities and brand activation programs.
Ø Track upcoming large-scale projects (residential townships, hotels, malls, corporate campuses) within the territory
Ø Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and new product launches; report actionable insights to sales leadership.
Candidate Profile
Experience
4–8 years of B2B sales experience in premium/luxury segments — lighting, sanitaryware, tiles, surface materials, furniture, or allied building materials preferred
Demonstrable experience working with and influencing architects, interior designers, and developers
Prior exposure to project sales in the UP market is a strong advantage
Skills & Competencies
Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
Brilliant communication skills(must)
Open to travel across UP region for work
Confident in presenting premium products to high-end clients and design professionals
Self-driven with the ability to work independently across a large territory
Good commercial acumen — ability to read pipelines, negotiate, and close deals
Basic knowledge of lighting design concepts is a plus
