Role: Business Development Executive
Location: Mumbai (extensive travel across Mumbai and surrounding regions)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
Experience: 1–4 years in sales or business development (preferably technical products or B2B building/architectural markets)
About the role
We are seeking a driven Business Development Executive to grow our technical textile business across the Mumbai region. You will own field sales and client engagement, convert opportunities into projects, and work with internal teams to ensure successful delivery. This is a hunter role with strong emphasis on prospecting, relationship building, and techno‑commercial selling.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct field sales: present and demo technical textile products to architects, contractors, procurement heads, and other decision-makers.
- Prepare accurate techno‑commercial proposals and quotations tailored to client requirements.
- Generate and qualify leads using market research, cold outreach, LinkedIn, and trade directories; maintain and advance opportunities in the CRM to meet sales targets.
- Manage and grow existing accounts; serve as primary client contact and coordinate with design, operations, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Identify and research new market segments and revenue opportunities; track competitor activity and market trends.
- Contribute to go‑to‑market plans and product expansion strategies with actionable market insights and field feedback.
Must-have skills and tools
- CRM experience (Salesforce, Zoho, or HubSpot) and disciplined pipeline management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and presentation/demo skills.
- Self-motivated hunter mentality with ability to work independently and travel extensively.
- Good time-management and reporting discipline.
Desirable skills and tools
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator and advanced LinkedIn prospecting techniques.
- Experience with market research tools (industry databases, trade directories).
- Familiarity with presentation/design tools (Canva, Prezi).
- Basic data analysis with Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience with ERP or order‑management systems.
