Duties and Responsibilities of a Room Attendant.
- Make beds and change linens.
- Clean Guest Rooms
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors.
2. Replenish Supplies
- Restock towels, toiletries, tissues, and other guest amenities.
- Ensure coffee, tea, and water supplies are available.
3. Inspect Rooms
- Check rooms for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
- Ensure all appliances, lights, and equipment are functioning properly.
- Report damages, repairs, or missing items to supervisors.
4. Handle Guest Requests
- Provide extra towels, pillows, blankets, or amenities when requested.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest needs.
5. Maintain Housekeeping Equipment
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Keep housekeeping carts organized and stocked.
- Report faulty equipment.
6. Follow Health and Safety Standards
- Adhere to hotel cleanliness and sanitation policies.
- Follow workplace safety procedures.
- Handle lost-and-found items according to company policy.
7. Maintain Public Areas
- Clean hallways, elevators, lobbies, and other common areas as assigned.
- Remove trash and maintain a tidy environment.
