JOB DISCRIPTION:
1. Dispensing Medications
Pharmacists:
- Interpret prescriptions from doctors
- Ensure correct dosage, strength, and form of medication
- Label medicines properly
- Check for errors before giving medicines to patients
2. Patient Counseling and Education
They guide patients on:
- How and when to take medicines
- Possible side effects
- Drug interactions
- Lifestyle advice (diet, smoking, alcohol)
3. Ensuring Drug Safety
Pharmacists:
- Check for drug interactions and allergies
- Monitor for adverse drug reactions
- Promote rational use of medicines
- Prevent medication errors
4. Clinical Responsibilities
In hospitals or clinics, they:
- Review patient medication therapy
- Work with doctors and nurses
- Suggest safer or more effective alternatives
- Monitor patient outcomes
5. Drug Preparation and Compounding
They may:
- Prepare customized medications
- Mix ingredients for creams, syrups, or injections
- Ensure sterile conditions for sensitive drugs
6. Inventory Management
Pharmacists:
- Maintain stock of medicines
- Ensure proper storage (temperature, humidity)
- Check expiry dates
- Order supplies and manage shortages
7. Regulatory and Ethical Duties
They must:
- Follow pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualification: D Pharm and B Pharm along with valid Degree /Diploma
Experience: 3-5 yrs in pharmacy
