Job Title: Billing Engineer (Civil)
Location: Ahmedabad.
Experience Required: 2 - 3 Years
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Engineer to manage all aspects of project billing, quantity verification, and cost tracking. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate client bills, contractor bills, and ensuring proper documentation in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify RA Bills (Running Account Bills) and final bills for clients and subcontractors.
- Measure quantities from drawings and at site to ensure accurate billing.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and rate analysis.
- Track project costs and monitor budget vs. actual expenditures.
- Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for work progress validation.
- Maintain proper billing records, documentation, and approvals.
- Handle variations, extra items, and change orders with proper justification.
- Ensure timely submission and certification of bills.
- Reconcile quantities and payments with clients and vendors.
- Assist in preparing project cash flow and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of billing procedures and quantity surveying
- Excellent understanding of BOQ, rate analysis, and contracts
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for quantity take-offs
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, or similar)
- Knowledge of billing software/tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Certification in Quantity Surveying (preferred)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in billing and quantity surveying
- Experience in commercial, residential, or interior projects preferred
- Strong experience in handling client and subcontractor billing
Additional Requirements:
- Good understanding of site execution for accurate measurement
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in handling large-scale or multi-site projects is an advantage
