Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Associate with 1–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting,
bookkeeping, or U.S. taxation to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and
comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of a client portfolio, managing books, compliance, and reporting with
minimal supervision. Prior experience working with U.S. clients or U.S. accounting practices is a strong plus,
though not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of U.S. clients, including maintaining the Chart of
Accounts and general ledger.
- Handle end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) management, including
invoicing, collections follow-up, and vendor payments.
- Prepare and file U.S. sales tax returns across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and timely compliance.
- Process payroll and ensure ongoing payroll compliance for client businesses (federal, state, and local
requirements).
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports, including reconciliations and
variance analysis.
- Assist with preparation and review of individual (Form 1040) and corporate (Form 1120/1120S/1065)
tax returns.
- Build financial reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to give clients better visibility into their
business performance.
- Collaborate closely with the U.S. team to identify and implement process improvements and automation
opportunities for clients.
- Stay current on relevant U.S. accounting, payroll, and tax regulations impacting client engagements.
Qualifications & Education
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Candidates with M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter/Articleship experience, or US CPA/EA (in progress or
completed) are strongly preferred.
Experience:
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or U.S. taxation. Candidates with
experience serving U.S.-based clients or KPO/accounting outsourcing firms will be given preference.
Pay: ₹13,454.24 - ₹54,007.19 per month
