Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for generating leads, identifying customer needs, providing technical solutions, and driving sales of conveyor systems. This role bridges the gap between engineering and sales, ensuring that customer requirements are met with technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in target industries.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable conveyor solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to prepare accurate quotations and drawings.
- Follow up with clients for order closures, negotiations, and post-sale support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and channel partners.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth strategy.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in conveyors or material handling equipment.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and automation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a customer-first attitude.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and site visits.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CAD tools is a plus.
